I am very happy to know about the launch of the Pilot Phase of the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Diabetes, Cardio-vascular Diseases and Stroke which is a very important step in preventing an epidemic of NCDs.I am also disappointed that this covers only one district in seven states which is not at all enough. Govt should have planned a program which covers the masses, especially those below the poverty line as this is going to cost the government a lot of money if not prevented in time.
