More and more women with type 1 are successful in giving birth.
Sphere: Related ContentResearch suggests the number of women with diabetes before pregnancy who have children is growing. Between 1999 and 2005, cases of women with pre-pregnancy diabetes giving birth doubled, from 245 to 537, according to a recent study by California-based health insurance company Kaiser Permanente, which looked at 175,000 women in California. Though total numbers were small, researchers said it suggests a trend.[via]
